He came to us, a simple child
a child who was so beguiled
born to a carpenter and his wife
he took the time to grow up and have a life
at the last supper he said "eat this in remembrance of me"
"drink this in remembrance of me"
he took on all the pain
he took it on like a stain
they made his flesh bleed
but he knew he did a great deed
with his bloodshed he made the way
in his last words he said "it is done"
god so loved the world be gave his only begotten son
three days passed he rose from the grave
with this, his mercy he gave
his work doesn't end there
he can be reached through every prayer

in this picture there are many glories
many sad times and glad times too
in this picture you were there to help me through
the times were tough
the road was rough
but in this picture the pain was hidden
sadness had been forbidden
we held each other close
the narrow path we both chose
made all the difference in it all
when I felt I was going to fall
you were there in THIS PICTURE

Red as red can be
I'm hurting can't you see
yes I hide it very well
but I'm hurting can't you tell
all this grief all this pain
stays with me like a stain
through the years I shed many tears
in this darkened room I had many fears
I feel you have given up on me
and in my heart life can't agree
so I'll take it all away with one cut
and heal this pain somewhat
I just want a brand new start
take my hand and play your part
I can't go on any more
when you have shut the door
to the road ahead
